I and one other designer [Josie Gonzalez], styled and managed a 2000’s themed photoshoot, with a focus on hip hop and street style. Y2K has had a resurgence in pop culture. As a style, it has largely influenced recent trends. I created this magazine using the photos taken by our photographer, Ethan O’Grady. Pulling inspiration from the edgy, bold aesthetic of the 2000’s with oversized type and a bright color system. Choosing to offset images and overlap text to give the magazine an uncomfortable imbalance, much like early 2000’s graphics.
